Audrey Hulett was born November 5, 1927 in Aurora, Illinois to August and Minnie Bergmann. She died at the Colorow Care Center in Olathe, CO on February 24, 2010 after a short illness. She was the oldest child born to immigrant parents from Latvia.
Surviving sisters are Vera Bergmann of Eckert, CO and Ina Haugen of Rock Spring, GA. A brother Alfred Bergmann preceded her in death.
Audrey graduated from Forest Lake Academy, Florida in 1945. After one year of college at Southern Missionary College, TN she began her career as an elementary teacher. She taught for the Seventh-day Adventist educational system in Florida, Colorado, and Wyoming. She first came to Cedaredge in 1953.
In 1955 Audrey married Frank Hulett. They had one child, Wanda (Dale) Kaiser of Englewood, CO. Frank preceded her in death. She had two grandsons.
Audrey was a member of the Cedaredge Seventh-day Adventist Church. She had many interests and did crafts of numerous kinds. She enjoyed camping, hiking, swimming, gardening, and reading. She was an excellent cook and skilled at sewing.
A memorial service honoring Audrey's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cedaredge, Colorado. A private inurnment will be held at Eckert Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Audrey's memory to any organization of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mesa View Mortuary and Cemetery.
